Scope and Aim of JCRC

Journal of Conflict Resolution and Communication (JCRC) is an open access, peer-reviewed, and refereed journal published by the Institute of Conflict Resolution and Communication (ICRC), USA. The main objective of JCRC is to provide an intellectual platform for practitioners, scholars, and students involved with conflict resolution and communication. JCRC aims to promote qualitative interdisciplinary studies and learning in conflict resolution and communication.  The aim is to become a leading open access journal in conflict resolution and communication in the world.

The journal publishes research papers by practitioners, scholars, graduate students, and/or certified mediators in interdisciplinary fields that connect conflict resolution and communication topics. Topics of special interest include, but are not limited to the following: mediation, facilitation, negotiation, dispute systems design, conflict management, etc. Topics can be discussed across a variety of contexts such as interpersonal (i.e. friends, relationships), familial (i.e. traditional, blended, extended), organizational (i.e. Multi-national, small businesses), intergroup (ie. communities) and international settings.

JCRC is published in an online and open access version, so as to disseminate information to interested people in the public who are interested in topics addressed by the journal. The movement behind JCRC is to improve people’s understanding of conflict resolution in society so as to  ultimately transform society.

JCRC publishes original papers, review papers, conceptual framework, as well as conflict resolution innovations, strategies, techniques, and tools of theoretical and practical nature. Special Issues devoted to significant topics in conflict resolution and communication will occasionally be published. The journal is published twice a year, once in January and again in June. Simultaneous submissions will not be considered. If you are interested in functioning as a reviewer please submit your resume to info@icrctraining.com to be considered.
